The Proper Pie Company

This is specialty store and small restaurant is stocked with British and Irish kitchen staples, including meat pies, condiments, candy, drinks and more. Most importantly, they serve up amazing plates of Fish and Chips – both Cod and Haddock.

The Proper Pie Company starts serving Fish and Chips at 11:00 a.m. on regular business days and each plate is cooked to order. Sure, you’ve ordered Fish and Chips plenty of times at chain restaurants or seafood restaurants throughout the United States. The British version is much better! If  you prefer fishy tasting fish, order Haddock. Proper Pie’s batter is light and compliments the fish rather than overpowering it.

Prefer a Cornish Pasty and Cranberry Scone? This pasty comes filled with beef, potatoes, onions and rutabagas (swede). It is savory and filling. The crust has a “flaky softness” celebrity chefs on The Great British Bake Off rave about.
