Red, White & Kaboom, presented by T. Mims Corporation, will take place at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade in Lakeland on July 3.
Red, White & Kaboom Independence Celebration
The event beings at 6:00 p.m. with a live concert featuring 60 West Band, which is a professional top 40 cover band based out of Tampa, FL. A variety of food trucks will be parked along Lake Mirror during the event, so bring your appetite. You may also want bring a blanket and chairs as there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the evening’s festivities. A breathtaking fireworks display will dazzle the crowd at 9:00 p.m.
Rather than charging admission, T. Mims Corporation and the City of Lakeland asks everyone attending to bring at least one non-perishable food item. When you arrive, you will see volunteers collecting canned food items that will be donated to Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE). VISTE is a non-profit organization that serves Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry and Ft. Meade. Established in 1983, VISTE’s primary goal is to enable elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own homes.
