Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College hosts Toulouse-Lautrec and the Belle Époque, February 13 – May 23, 2021.
Toulouse-Lautrec and the Belle Époque
This exhibition at Polk Museum of Art includes more than 215 works of art and artifacts from the startlingly brief but transformative decade-long career of late 19th century master Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. A master painter, printer, and illustrator – a true exemplar of the craft of draftsmanship – Toulouse-Lautrec (1864-1901) saw no line between fine art and commercial art. With his work at the center of this extraordinary and large-scale exhibition presented for the Central Florida community and beyond, Toulouse-Lautrec promises to lure audiences into his inimitable creative world.
