African American Heritage Museum is a place where visitors can learn about the rich and diverse experiences of being a person of African American descent in Central Florida, and how our black ancestors’ lives helped shape the history of Florida. The Museum seeks to educate people of all races to value the countless contributions of black Americans to the United States.

The museum is located in downtown Bartow, Florida, is a place where visitors can learn about the rich and diverse experiences of being a person of African American descent in Central Florida, and how our black ancestors’ lives helped shape the history of our great state. The Museum seeks to educate people of all races to value the countless contributions of Black Americans to the United States. Admission is FREE, but donations are appreciated. Donations are used for curation of the collection, development of exhibits, and to fund various planned educational programs.
